Unidentified man killed
in Atherton St. collision
State College police said late
yesterday they had not yet
positively identified the per
son killed in a three-car
collision on S. Atherton Street
Monday night.
Police said a vehicle
operated by Scott A. Nespor,
of Sharon, was traveling north
on S' Atherton Street at 9:21
p.m. when it veered into the
path of a southbound vehicle
operated by William V. Gates,
of Boalsburg.

Nespor, Gates and a
passenger in the Nespor car
were taken to the Moun
tainview unit of the Centre
Community Hospital where
the passenger was pronounced
dead on arrival. Nespor was
transferred to Hershey
Medical Center with a head in
jury. Gates was treated and
released.
