Special precautions are
taken by housing staff to
prevent dorm thefts during
breaks. All doors are
locked and chained from
the inside. Housing staff
members inspect the halls
twice a day for fire or
water damage.
Stormer said thieves do
not forcibly enter residence
halls but instead use keys.

been entered until
residents return and report
missing property,” he said.
During Fall Term break
last year 51 rooms were
reported to have been
entered. About $6OO worth
of property was stolen.
Stormer said property
loss has been declining fo;-
