Upwards of 10,000 students will attend today's
Blue-White football game. It will be a simple matter
for them to remain on their derrieres and watch the
opening of the All-Pennsylvania track classic. If a run
ner like Marty 7 _,iquori was racing in this classic, most
fans would slick around. Superstars have that sort of
magnetism.

Pitt next Saturday before deciding the Lions' fate.
Today's doubleheader will last until around 6 p.m.
Sports fans at Beaver Stadium for the Blue-White game
have the option of staying for the track meet, heading
over to Beaver Field or getting psyched for Julian Bond's
speech at Roc Hall.
Whatever turns you on.
Penn State's golf and tennis teams, which have
been staging a renaissance of their own in the past few
years. will battle Airily today.
Both teams have established themselves as top
powers in the East. The golfers deadlocked with Yale in
the Eastern championships at the Bulldogs last week
end—quite an achievement when one considers the ad
vantage a home course can be to a golfer.
The Lion netters go after their 111 h win today. They
became the first Penn State learn to ever win 10 matches
on Wednesday.
Touching all the bases, we find the ladies sports
teams in full swing this week, Missy Neibel. Debt Hol
land and Joan Wohlgemuth won singles matches as the
Lady Lions swamped East Stroudsburg on Thursday.
Other lady netters for Penn• State include Candy
Royer. Tanya Romanier, Mary Lou Rodger, Adrienne
Hendricks, Leslie Macan,' Lois Klien, Sandy Turner,
Stacy Strewn, Sue Krepp, Karen Fesmire; and Connie
Bowker.

must if the Lions are to have a chance for
a pc , t-season tournament berth.
Correll, riding on a five-game winning
streak, tussled with the Lions back in March
under Sunny Florida skies. The Lions won
one game and the Scarlet Knights took the
other. Counting its series in Flo•ida, Cornell
comes into today's doubleheader with an
18-11-'1 mark.
Surprise!
Jim'Conroy (3-1) and Roy Swanson (3-2)
are by no means surprise probable starters
against the Knights. The mound duo has
started all but two of perm State's games
this year mainly because they have been able
to pick up so much rest during the frequent
postponements.
The Penn State tennis squad will try
to better its 10-2 mark when coach Holmes
Cathrall's crew takes on Army on the varsity
tennis courts adjacent to the Ice. Pavilion
.at 2 p.m.
The netters. following their shutout win
over Lehigh Wednesday, became, the first
Penn State tennis team in 60 years to capture
10 wins in a season. The match with the
Cadets will be their last team competition
until the Eastern Intercollegiate Lawn cham
pionships in Rochester, N.Y. at the end of
this month.
The Lion golfers will play their last
home match of the season with Army on the
University course at 1 p.m. Penn State (9-1)
has been quite successful in tournament play
over the last two weeks. Coach Joe Boyle's
linksters won the Big 4 title, tied at the
Easterns and picked up a team victory in
the Indiana Invitational tourney.
