Prexy Gets Arts Medal
The Silver Medal of the
Royal Society of Arts (Lon
don), bearing the likeness of
Prince Philip on the obverse,
was presented to University
President Eric A. Walker by
the Society, one of the oldest
learned societies in the world.
Walker, a year ago, was nam
ed a Benjamin Franklin Fellow
of the Society. The medal was
presented at a ceremony held
recently at the Philadelphia
Museum of Art.

figures for the University for
the Spring Term show an
enrollment of 23,125 students at
the University Park Campus
and 12,529 at other locations
for a total of 35,654.
These incomplete totals were
released Wednesday by T.
Sherman Stanford, director of
academic services, following
completion of the Spring Term
registration period.
Stanford predicted that final
figures will bring th e
University Park total to 24,700
and the total for otli e r
locations to 14,300 for a grand
total of 39,000 students for the
Spring Term.
These figures would show a
considerable gain over a year
ago when the final figures for
Spring Term were 24.201 at
University Park and 36,621 at
all locations.
