He has also emphasized a need for "substitution of international responsibility." The dillogue will start with Atwater's considering the reasons the United States, is in Vietnam. The assumptions of involvement, he has said, are three fold—"national security, ideologicl conflict and religion." Atwater will also consider the four major dilemmas he feels the U.S. now faces because of the Vietnam con flict: the dangers of escalation, democratization, negotia tion and unilateralism. -• This student-faculty dialogue will be the first of eight to be presented this term at the JaWbone. The dialogues are designed to allow students and professors to discuss relevant issues of our time on a ,person -to-person basis.
