Research 1 Staff
Gov. Raymond P. Shafer has,. announced the appoint
ment of William Cromer as Chairman of the Research
Staff of the newly-fofmed Youth Advisory Council.; Cromer
will also act as chairman . of the representativesof the
north-central region of the state.
A sixth term American Studies major, Cror - ner is a
member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He is also chair
man of the Young Republicans.
Shafer said the Council will .leek viewpoints bf youth
leaders throughout the' state and i will make .recornmenda
lions and take action ba'sed on these -viewpoints.
At its first meeting last Saturday in Harrisblirg, the
council discussed the loss of promising young citizens to
other states. , The council 11:ill consider the cause; of the
"youth exodus" and will try to find solutions.
