Candidates To Vie for AWS Senate
Eleven candidates will be com
peting for five positions on the
Association of Women Students
Senate, Virginia Matta, AWS
campus elections chairman, said
last night.
Elections arc scheduled for Feb
18 and 19.
Vicki Caplan, present secretary
of AWS, is unopposed for the
position of president.
Jeanne Anthes, Runkle; Anne
Friedlander, East; and Sandra
Wall, Simmons, are the candidates

Liberal Party Chairman George
Gordon said last week he is "un
alterably opposed" to this change
in the elections procedures.
If the amendment is passed,
Gordon continued, "Liberal party
will insist on a referendum on
the question of political parties
and the USG constitution.'
