"He's an amazing shot," Temple coach Harry Litwack said in the dressing room following the game. "He played a wonderful game." All the talk' wasn't about Hoff man though. "This is as good a Penn State team as I've ever seen," Litwack said quietly while smoking a cigar. "They really outhustled us. We just got a real, old fashioned, humiliating pasting. I have no excuses. The officials were good and Penn State was good." A happy Egli agreed with wack. "THE BOYS really wanted to play ball tonight," Egli said after his 104th coaching victory. "This was our best game by far. If we had hustled like this in all our other games, we wouldn't have had any trouble being unbeaten." For Temple the game was a nightmare as the nation's fourth best defensive team saw its man to-man defense riddled by the sharp-shooting off Hoffman and the driving play of Ron Avillion, Bobby Donato and Bob Weiss.
