Prof To Speak
About 'Ransom'
The Rev. John Meyendorff, professor of church history at
St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological : Seminary, New York
City; will speak at the 10:55 a.m. service Sunday in Schwab.
His topic will be "I Will Ransom Them from the Power
of the Grare!"
Born in Neuilly-Sur-Seine,
from the Sorbonhe and the Ortho
dox Theological Institute of Paris.
He is a lecturer in Byzantine Theo
logy at Harvard UniVersity and
at the Dumbarton Oaks Research
Library and Collection.

The story begins in 1957 when Ford engineers conceived
the idea of a plastic•bonded glass filament torsion bar for
vehicle suspension systems. It was a revolutionary departure
from the use of solid steel. It promised dramatic weight
savings in battle tanks, in' personnel carriers and other'
military vehicles. For example, as much as 1,000 pounds
in medium tanks.
