Subcommittee Disciplines! Five
The Senate Subcommittee on
Discipline yesterday placed three
male students on deferred sus
pension, one on suspended sus
pension, and plaeed a disciplinary
hold on the record of a fifth stu
dent, Daniel R. Leasure, assis
tant dean of men, said yesterday.
- - Leasure said a fourth' term stu
dent in the Division of Counseling
and:a fourth term student in Busi
ness Administration were placed
.on deferred suspension until the
end' of this term,' and then sus
pended until the end of the winter
term, 1963. *
Deferred suspension means that
actual suspension of the student,
will not begin until the winter
term, 1963. - !
THE MEN had'women in their
trailer on Saturday, Nov. 10, 1962,
Leasure said.
i These women were non-stu
dents who were the guests of a
University coed,' Leasure sail. He
said the coed arranged with] these
men for her friends’ overnight
lodging in the trailer. .i ,

dean of men authority to suspend
a student for additional miscon
duct without consulting the Sen
ate Subcommittee on Discipline.
IN OTHER action, Leasure said
a 12th term Student in psychology
was placed on deferred suspension
until (be end of this term and on
suspension until the end. of the
winter term, 1963, for entertain
ing a coed in his private living
quarters.
In another case, a: disciplinary
hold was placed on the record of
a student who entertained a coed
in his apartment while on sus
pension. The student was living
downtown and not .enrolled in
school at the time of the incident
because of his suspension;
With this hold oh his record,
the student cannot be relieved of

She said two of the women, a

Arts, were suspended until the
end of ; the spring term, 1963.

soronty women, etiquette, rush
and scholarship.
