Quintin.'speaking to the French Club and French House on "French Youth Today,” said the altitude of the young people toward the morals;-of their parents Is reasonable, not antagonistic. Rather than listen to older people, the French youth think for them .selves and avoid being tied down by traditional morals, he.said. French young people like to observe many kinds of beliefs and ideas,* Quintin : said, but. 'until recently' a young person wouldn’t dare carry on a conversation with someone who had different be liefs. Now conversations between two young people with different ideals, such- as a' Catholic and a Communist, are- more common, he raid. * » THE STRICT rules tor court ship and marriage have also been rejected by today's French youth, Quintin said.
