Block 'S' Club
Seeks Names
For Contest
The last big drive to get more
names for the J&lock "S” Club
«ntry m the Moysler Rally con
test will be during
lunch today in Waring. Lounge,
Deborah Eddy, co-chairman of
the campaign, said Tuesday.
The deadline for submitting the
lists of name? to the national pen
manufactured sponsoring the con
test is tomorrow, she said.
"Miss Eddy said approximately
1,600 names have been collected
bo far by circulating the lists in
residence halls, .fraternities and
the Hetzel Union Building.
Lillian Leis, co-chairman, said
success in gaining the 3,000 names
hoped for was limited by the theft
i)f one of the three pens bought
for the contest. She said also that
the poor weather at Saturday's
football , game hurt chances of
-Obtaining more signatures.
Civil Defense Drill
A recording of the fire siren
used in Stale College will be
broadcast at 2:15 pjn. today
through the Old Main amplify
ing system. The civil defense
lest will also include a voice
count from 1 to 10 as was used
last week. The voice tests will
be made at intervals from 2
until 4 p.m.
