and cymbals were heard as one
third of the Blue Band marched
through the Hetzel Union Build
ing parking lot and stopped on
the HUB lawn.
The pep rally for i the Penn
State-Army game tomorrow had
-begun.
The 12 cheerleaders showed
the:ir pep by twisting, with the
band supplying twist 'musk. Jo
seph Castiglia, (4th—business ad
ministration—Passaic, N.J.), who
emceed the rally, Asked the crowd
to show' its enthusiasm by cheer
ing loudly enough so that the
patients in Ritenour"Health Cen
ter could hear them.
CASTIGLIA, Paul Krow, presi
dent of Ahe Block ."S" Club, and
the dieerleaders led the crowd
in cheers and songs including
"State," "Nittany" and "Victory."

Sorority
A period - of limited contact.
during which rushees may visit:
the rooms of sorority women but
not sorority suites, has been es
tablished in the Panhellenic for
mal rush code for 1962-63.
This period will -be in effect
from sorority open houses Nov. 11
until formal rush • registration
Jan. 3. During this time, sorority
women may not Visit rooms of
rushees or spend money on them.
They may, howeVer, attend the
same parties during Christmas
vacation, with the provision that
a sorority woman does not invite
a rushee to her party.
ALL WOMEN ,interested in
rush must register! for sorority
open houses from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Oct. 24 and 25 in the Hetzel Union
main lounge. Open houses will be
held Nov: 11„ 17 ,and 18.
Registration for formal sorority
rush will take place. from 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m. Jan. 3 and'4 in the HUB
main lounge. The first- round of
30-minute chatter dates will be
held Jan. 5 and 6.
The second round of chatter
dates, lasting one hour each, will
be held Jan. 8 - and 9.ll3ermuda
junctions will' take place :from
6:35 to 10:30 p.m. Jan. 11.
RUSHEES will attend two cof-,
fee hours. from 6:15
.to 7:30 and
8:30 to 10 pat„ Jan. 13. Ribbon

There may be no refreshments
or entertainment 'at the open
houses and first round of chatter
dates. Accompanied singing will
be perniitted at the chatter dates,
but no accompaniment may be
used for singing at the open
houses. ;
