place fifth in the regional E.C.A.C.

Lions, to a fourth 'place finish in
team play. ' •
The score qualified Mulch for
the E.CA.C. finals to he held at
Beth; Page Park, Long island:
N.Y.,; , on Oct. 20., Navy's Jim
seeley finished first in the region
al rouad with a one-over r par 72.

for golfing. Only five players
broke 80 which goes to show that
the course wasn't in - the, very best

'• Navy won the regional cham
pionship with •321. followed by
Georgetown. (326), Penn (327) and
the Lions (331). The entire Navy
team will proceed to Beth Park
and compete for team laurels with
three other sectional champions.
Masich qualified for the finals
by shooting a consistent game. As
a freshman last year, Masich
earned the nickname "varsity
killer" for impressive showings
against varsity members of the
golf team.
