PAGE TWELVE IFC to Host Transfers Transfer students, both men and women, will have an intro duction to the fraternity system at 8 p.m. tomorrow when the Interfraternity Council sponsors open houses at 14 fraternity houses. Transfers will meet in the Retzel Union lounge and be assigned to a fraternity by their orientation leaders. Houses particiating in the event are Alpha Chi Sigma, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Beta Sigma Rho, Delta Phi, Delta Chi, Kapa Delta Rho, Phi Epsilon Pi, Phi Gamma Delta, ,Sigma Alpha Mu, Phi Kappa Tau, Sigma' Nu, Sigma Pi, Tau Kappa Epsilon and Theta Chi. FRESHMEN MEN will also have an opportunity to learn about fraternity life tomorrow night at an IFC rushing orientation pro gram at 7:30 p.m. in Schwab. Formal rush registration will be held in January. IFC, which makes -and enforces regulations for the 53-member fra ternity system, is composed of the presidents of each of the member fraternities. Currently IFC is proceeding with plans for its annual Home= coming Lawn Display contest, ac cording to president Emil Sos. TIM council to Distribute Letters at Registratkm The Town Independent Men's Council will be distributing a newsletter and an activities ques tionnaire to independent' men at registration today, tomorrow and Friday, David Wasson, TIM sec retary, said yesterday. THE NEWSLETTER was de signed to inform the town men of the functions of the council, he said. The questionnaire is being distributed to gather information which will enable the council to plan programs of interest to the independent men, Wasson said. Al most 1.500 persons attended last year, Wasson said, and this year's planner's are assuming that 2,000 will bs in attendance. Thal questionnaire the council is, distributing asks the. student - to indicate his interest and ability in about' 40 activities, including various sports, arts, dramatic, cultural and social fields, Wasson said. Students are being given a• re turn addreis envelope with the uestionnaire to insure the high est possible rate of returns, Was son said.
