Malik Will Speak on

president of the United Nations
General Assembly, will speak on
"You and [the Communist Chal

lectures on Communist ideology,
at 8 p.m- tomorrow in Schwab.
MALIK (WAS PRESIDENT of
the-13th session of the U.N. Gen
eral Assembly from Sept. 16, 1958
to March 13. 1959, From 1945 to
1959 he worked with the United
Nations. : >
Previous to .the presidency he
was chairman of the Lebanon 1
Delegation to the U.N: several
years. As a Lebanon delegate he
signed the United-Nations Charter.
. Malik was also chairman of the
Human Rights .Commission and
president jof the U.N. Security
Council and the Economic and
Social Council. ; ; :
His 1 political career includes |
service as jthe Minister for Foreign,
Affairs of Lebanon. From 1953 to
1955,he was Lebanon Ambassador
to the United States.
