Alien St. THE DAILY COLLEGIAN. UNIVERSITY PARK. PENNSYLVANIA FOR THE GIFT GUI I E Dear Santa, You may be surprised to hear from me so early this year, but for the betterment of the University family (as a• whole), we are all celebrating Thanks giving at Christmastime this year. So, dear red and green Santa, it follows that I am be ginning my Yuletide celebra tions a little after Thanksgiv ing time. Please try to understand the complexity of the situation, Santa, as we, of the University, are striving to utilize every moment and to create a situ ation of compactness in our academic endeavors and it be fits our purposes to do this. And now, as in the past, I will direct my efforts to com posing a list of requests for your attention this December. Please take careful note of them, Santa, for the University family (as a whole) is depend ing on you to fill our Christmas stocking which your little Har risburg helpers have left empty. Please bring Dr. Read, the man who heads our calendar committee, one stale turkey left over from your cozy little Thanksgiving dinner at the North Pole. To the many Peace Corps volunteers scattered all over the world, please bring lots of little postcards all inscribed with the same dedicated message: "We love our work." To Old Main, (as a whole), please bring an invisible bar rier to prevent it from being "hit" by the mysterious "Foianini" in the future. Please, Santa, bring a podium for the HUB reading room so that we can "hear" our admin istrators more often. Please bring a three-way walkie talkie to the Messrs. Eisman, Foianini and Huffman so they may conduct USG meetings with more efficiency. And while you're in the mood, please bring a USG. I'm sure the University would be grateful If you could spare a few extra sleighs and rein deer so the students of the fu ture, (as a whole), would be able to make it from their out lying residence halls to classes in less than one day. For the Panhellenic Coun cil, (as a whole), well, I'm sure they'll appreciate any help you can give them. —4-term love, The University daughters, (as a whole) r\i r 4 4 ' 1 0 .4.10 TOYS.
