NOVEMBER 10. 1961 First Leads Phi Phi Delia Theta Also Moves Up With 6-0 Win By DENNIS KNECHT Phi Gamma Delta qualified for the IM football fraternity semi-finals by defeating Delta Sigma Phi, 12-0, last night on the golf course fields. Quarterback John First passed to Lloyd Dohner for the first six pointer and scored the clincher by intercepting a Delta Sig pass at mid-field and scampering into the end zone. Phi Gam will play Delta Tau Delta tonight in the semi-finals. Bill Burkhart scored his fourth touchdown in two games for Phi Delta Theta when he caught a pass thrown by Bruce Campbell for a 6-0 victory over Kappa Delta Rho. Phi Delta Theta will meet Delta Upsilon tonight in the other semi-finals game. In independent action* the Un touchables, led by Wayne Funk, scored a 7-0 victory over Franklin. Funk passed to Carl Williams for the TD and booted the extra point. Berks ran over Lackawanna, 13- 2, behind Tom Schaffer, who threw touchdown passes to Bob Wolpert and Bob Morrone. Andy Collins kicked the extra point after the second TD. Lackawanna trapped Schaffer in his end zone for its lone score. Mike Yanefski recovered a fum ble in the Nittany 23 end zone to give the Sleepers a 6-2 victory. Angels Sign Lemon To Promotional Job LOS ANGELES (AP) Bob Lemon, the former Cleveland pitching star who was seven times a 20-game winner in the majors, was signed to a promotional job by the Los Angeles Angels. Lemon, 41, will work in ticket sales and public relations. During spring training he will help coach the Angels' farm club pitchers. Lemon, who lives in Long Beach, was a pitching coach for the Philadelphia Phillies last sea son.
