7 Disciplined for Disorderly Conduct
Seven men students in
volved in disorderly conduct
cases were given probationary
penalties through the men's
disciplinary system last week,
Daniel R. Leasure, assistant dean
of men said Friday.
A senior in business administra
tion was placed on disciplinary
probation until the end of the
present term. The student was ar
rested on charges of insolence to
State College patrolman fol
lowing the football game with
Army, Leasure reported. The pa
trolman was directing traffic at
the corner of College Ave. and
Garner St. when the student who
was walking by called hint a
"fuzz."
The student, who police said
was very much under the influ
ence of alcohol, pointed a finger
at the 'patrolman and said "Okay
fuzzy, anything you say," when
the officer approached him, Lea
sure explained.
The senior was charged by
police with disorderly conduct
and released in the custody of

Scheduled
For Today
A Peace Corps field repre
sentative, Mrs. Marise Ross,
will remain on campus today
for additional talks and in
terviews with students about
Peace Corps service and training.
Mrs. Ross will be available this
morning and afternoon in 117
Sparks td interview students. In
formal discussion led by Mrs.
Ross will be held there with stu
dents during the noon hour to
day.
An informal talk and a ques
tion and answer period will be
held after the dinner hour today
in the lounge of Atherton Hall,
Mrs. Ross said.
The Home Economics Student
Council will hear Mrs. Ross dis
cuss the Peace Corps service at
8 p.m. today in the Living Cen
ter of the Home Economics
Building. Other interested stu
dents are invited to attend.
Mrs. Ross is one of 50_ Peace
Corps field representatives chosen
by the Peace Corps headquarters
in Washington to visit colleges
and universities throughout the
United States.
The representatives will visit
many of the 2,000 campuses this
fall, Mrs. Ross will visit 32 of
these campuses before she com
pletes her tour Nov. 20.
The fourth nation-wide Peace
Corps examination will be given
locally Nov. 28 and 29 in the
State College Post Office.

his fraternity president, Leasure
said. He paid a $25 fine and $9 in
costs.
The probation was recommend
ed
by the Off-Campus Tribunal
and accepted by the dean of men's
office, Leasure explained. A stu
dent on disciplinary probation,'
cannot hold any office or be a,
committee member of any-student
activity.
The second case involved a
sophomore, also in the College '
of Business Administration.
This student who was also in
toxicated, pounded the rear fen
der of a car which was passing
him as he was walking along
Calder Alley. The driver of the
car almost hit a building as he
looked back to see what hap
pened, Leasure said.
The student paid a fine of $lO
and costs of $11.50 after a hear
ing before Col. Guy M. Mills,
justice of the peace.
The Off-Campus T r ib un al
recommended that the student
be placed on probation with the
office of the dean of men until
the end of the next term. The
dean of men's office accepted the
recommendation, Leasure said.

Three freshmen charged with
disorderly conduct by Bellefonte

The frosh, all minors, had been

Tribunal. The tribunal keeps close

were turned over to the dean
of men's office for action. These
frosh were creating a disturb
ance downtown and were under
