Delta Sigma Phi, defending
IM champions in the frater
nity division, scored its second
straight win of the season by
downing winless Phi Epsilon
Pi, 13-0, on the golf course fields
last night. The winners now
have a 2-0 record.
Dick Cunningham was the
spark plug for Delta Sig as he
threw two touchdown passes—
one for four yards to Wendy
Wear, and the other, a 37-yard
aerial to Ray Brennan. The crafty
quarterback also booted an extra
point.
Phi Sigma Kappa stayed in
the IM race by notching its
third straight win, a 4-3 first
down victory over Alpha Zeta.
Neither team was able to mount
a touchdown drive.
In other fraternity action, Theta
Delta Chi stretched its record
to 3-0 by downing Alpha Gamma
Rho, 13-0. Quarterback Jim Baker
passed for one TD to Larry Lager
io, and another to Gene Bella, who
also booted an extra point.
John Black kicked a 30-yard
field goal in the final seconds
to give Acacia a 3-2 win over
Sigma Nu.
Kappa Sigma extended its rec
ord to 3-0 by edging Sigma Chi,
5-2 on first downs.
Tau Kappa Epsilon easily
downed Phi Kappa Psi, 16-0.

MALE STUDENTS
MALE STUDENTS are needed to participate in an experi
ment being conducted for the Air Force by H.R.8.-Singer.
Approximately 70 persons are needed within the next
five weeks.
Individuals selected will be required to spend 8 hours
of work spread over 4 testing sessions. Transportation
to and from H.R.8.-Singer will be furnished, and par
ticipants will be paid for time spent traveling.
Rate of pay $1.50 per hour minimum, bonuses being
paid on basis of performance adequacy.
Testing is conducted on either:
1. Monday and Wednesday afternoons
2. Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
3. Tuesday and Thursday mornings

NEW YORK (AP) 'Warren
Spahn of the Milwaukee Braves
captured his third National
League earned run championship
and Dick Donovan of Washington
paced the American League in
1961, the final averages disclosed
yesterday.
Spahn, a 21-game winner, yield
ed 88 earned runs in 263 innings
for a 3.01 mark. It was the high
est mark ever for a National
League lea de r. The veteran
southpaw fashioned four shutouts,
including the only big league no
hitter. He also won the title in
1947 and 1953.
Donovan. recently traded to
Cleveland, was the first Washing
ton pitcher since Garland Barx
ton in 1928 to win the American
League crown. The big right
hander gave up 45 earned runs in
169 innings for a 2.40 mark.

Athletic Conference four man golf
tournament at Bethpage Park,
Long Island.
Syracuse won the team title,
edging defending champion Navy
by one stroke, 317-318. Massa
chusetts. Institute of Technology
finished third with 319, the. Lions
Were next with a score of 324.
State's Jim Tabor finished third
in the individual scoring with a
76, three strokes behind John
Schmidt of Syracuse, who copped
the individual title.
