Extreme southeastern Pennsyl
vania and New Jersey are expect
ed to bear the full brunt of the
storm. Wind gusts of 75 to 100
miles an hour may be recorded as
far inland as Philadelphia and
torrential rain may spread as far
west as Harrisburg.
Five to 10 inches of rain may be
reported in portions of Dela
ware, Southeastern Pennsylvania,

ward today, but hurricane Es
ther will probably have reached
the mainland by then.
The forecast for this area rails
for increasing winds and rain to
day. Rain may become heavy this
afternoon and this evening. Strong
to gale winds and rain is expected
tonight.
A high of 70 is expected today
with a low of 65 indicated for
tonight.
Tomorrow should be mostly
cloudy, and warmer with winds
diminishing.
