Nittanies Top Pitt Twice;
Face Owls Away Today
By JOHN MORRIS
The Penn State baseball
team (7-5) can’t seem to de
cide whether to play like
champions or also-rans, but
they must have looked like
world beaters to Pitt on Bea
ver Field Saturday. The Lions
extended their win skein to'
three games with 14-1 and 6-2
victories over the hapless Pan
thers. ,
Lefthanders Bob Fenton (1-0)
and Tom Durbin (2-1) hurled the
Nittanies to the sweep. Fenton
won the opener with a 3-hitter
and Durbin copped the 7-inning
nightcap on a 5-hitter.
Stale travels to Temple to
day for a single game with the
Owls before closing out its
season with a doubleheader
against Middle Atlantic Con
ference champion Delaware
Thursday on Beaver Field.
'Pitt (4-5) held a brief 1-0 lead
in the opener before the Nittanies;

Here’s one filter cigarette that’s really different!
The difference is this: Tareyton’s Dual Filler gives you a unique
inner filter of ACTIVATED CHARCOAL* definitely proved to make
the taste of a cigarette mild and smooth. It works together with a
pure white outer filter—to balance the flavor elements in the smoke.
Tareyton delivers—and you enjoy—the best taste of the best tobaccos.
