Kikla struck out ten and walked three while going the route for his third win without a loss. The classy lei thander was in trouble only twice—when the Scarlet scored their runs in the second and ninth innings. Rutgers (7-3-1) opened the scor ing in the top of the second with an unearned run. The Lions knotted the score in their half of the inning and then blew the game wide open with a big 5-run third.
