Parking Halted
Near Creamery
Parking on the north side of
Curtin Road in the block next to
the Creamery Salesroom will be
prohibited beginning May 1, Al
bert E. Diem, vice president for
business administration, said yes
terday.
Spaces will be available in the
Forestry Parking Lot, No. 36, for
visitors.
"Plans for prohibiting parking
in this area have been in the air
for about a year," Diem said.
"It is dangerous for pedestrians
and motorists when people park
ing along the curb open and close
their car doors," he added.
"The question of developing a
new parking lot near the Cream
ery to accommodate visitors' cars
has been brought up recently,"
Diem said.
However, a new parking lot re
quires money and I don't know
where the money can be found,"
he added. "I'd say we're a long
way off from a new lot in that
area," Diem said.
