SATURDAY. APRIL 15. 1961 Bookstore Survey Nears Completion Phil Steinhauer, chairman of the SGA Bookstore Committee, said yesterday that 775 question naires on the establishment of a University bookstore have been received. Steinhauer said that his final report to the Board of Trustees, who requested that a need for a University bookstore be proven, will be made before the end of the semester if possible. Steinhauer said that 800 ques tionnaires are needed to tabu late the final results of the poll, which was originally started about three weeks ago with 1,000 forms. Tne number of forms needed for a 90 per cent return is 790, Steinhauer said. To allow for error in final cal culating, the committee needs more than the desired number, he said. The results of the survey will not be announced until interpre Sigma Nu Annual Dock Party Featuring The HI-Fl's Open to Fraternity Men and Dates After 10 Salem refreshes your taste • 7 — alee. a-Pal/ 4 : 1 . &7 ,--- -..)/s ,o 4S — t ) /41-6/ Just as springtime reawakens you to the beauty and soft greenness all around . .. so every Salem reawakens and softly refreshes your taste. Steinhauer said he will meet with Greenhill Wednesday to examine the figures which have been calculated and will then meet with his committee to ex plain them. The original sample of 1,000, forms was decreased to 900 be cause the committee found that some were sent to people who were student teaching, or who had dropped out of school. Mistakes in the student directory accounted for the rest of the decrease, Stein hauer said. He attributed all the errors to the fact that the survey was made by random selection of names to insure a valid result. An average of 1 out of 15 students was con tacted, Steinhauer reported.
