Work Grants May Be Given
Outstanding juniors and
seniors may be able to get
work scholarships for the
summer term under a new
program announced by Presi
lent Walker Monday.
The grants, to be known as
"faculty aide scholarships," will
be designated not only to provide
funds to students, but also to
give them the opportunity to gain
experience by working with fac
ulty members in their special
ized fields, according to Wilmer

considered for the program
should apply to his department
head, Jean B. Vandell, secre
tary of scholarships explained.
Department heads will match
students and faculty members
who are to participate in the pro
gram. she said.
Whether or not a student will
be able to be selected if no pro
fessorin his department wants to
participate will not be determined
until the applications are in, she
added.

Choirs to Present
Easter Program
The Meditation Chapel Choirs,
directed by James W. Beach, will
present a Lenten-Easter musical
service at 4:15 p.m. today in the
Eisenhower Chapel.
Dr. Luther H. Harshbarger, Uni
versity chaplain, and Reverend
P. Barrett Rudd, associate director
of the University Christian Asso
ciation, will conduct the service.
Included in the program will
be, "The Falcon" by John Gerrish,
"Crucifixus etiam pro nobis" by
Hans Hassler, "Awake thou win
try earth" and "The Resurrection"
by William Billings.
