FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2. 1960 AWS Judicial Sets Sign-Out Penalties • Association of Women Students Judicial standardized penalties for failure of women students to sign out when leaving the residence halls in the evening, one of the - most frequent rule violations, at its regular meeting Wednesday evening. The penalty to be given in all such cases by the local SGA Sets Areas, Time For Voting • Polling times for the fall electidns were approved Wednesday night by the SGA Assembly. This year's elec tions will be held next Mon day,'Tuesday and Wednesday. Students may vote between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in Willard, Boucke and the first floor of the Hetzel Union Building. A fourth polling place will remain open between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the basement of the HUB. The times and polling places were brought before Assembly by Robert Umstead, chairman of the Elections Commission. Umstead said that Willard was chosen this year instead of Sparks because it was felt that more students had classes jn Willard. When asked if the Elections Commission had considered hav ing the ballot boxes in the dormi tory or dining areas, Umstead said that this plan had been sug gested but was vetoed. Getting to the boxes to watch the polls would be almost impossible for some of the commission members who have classes in the central part of campus, he explained. Umstead also said that he felt having the polling places in the central area would be easier for voters too. He said that this espe cially applied to fraternity men and town independent men who . would not have occasion to go in to the dormitories.
