Meet Pitt
Tomorrow
The Penn State booters close
out their 1900 season at 10:30 to
morrow morning against Pitt on
the Panthers' home field.
The Lions blew their chances
for a winning season. last Satur
day when Army right wing Bev
Powell scored all three goals to
give the Cadets a 3-1 victory.
State's record is 3-5.
Pitt goes into tomorrow's en
counter with a 4-5-1 slate. Two
weeks ago the Panthers ended
West Chester's eight game w"t -
ning streak by holding the
Barns to a 1-1 tie and last week
they defeated Lock Haven, 4-2.
State lost to West Chester. 5-1,
but downed Lock Hai/en in a
practice game, GA
The Panthers have seven let
termen back from last year's
squad that clown , H 1 Stale, 1-0, in
cluding George Zani‘:opaulos, an
honorable mention All-American
goalie last year.
ZnnicopauloF should have a
peaceful afternoon if the Lions
continue to throw away scoring
chances like they did against
Army Saturday,
While State's offense has been
dragainq, the Lion defensive
corps has improved greatly
since the beginning of the sea
son.
In the last three games they
shutout Navy, held highpowered
Temple to one goal, and except
for a great effort by Powell,
stopped Army cold.
The game will be played on
the field directly opposite the Pitt
Field House.
