ALCOA, ALUMINUM IS PEOPLE nWS will be held on campus OCTOBER 27 Discusses Civilizations meat patterns. They found that the cities and villages of this period were in contact with each other, contrary to former ideas. Leading to this conclusion were the findings of pottery from the market trade. The students were concerned for the most part with surface surveys. They brought back over 20,000 ancient pottery r t hards and are now sorting them for further study. Sanders commented that the natives of the area were very friendly and particularly anxious to speak English with them, Rho da Segur, one of the students on the trip, commented that the na tives held very idealistic pictures of Americans. The group was financed by a National Research Foundation grant and Dr. Sanders hopes to secure future grants in order to continue their work in this field.
