"A Streetcar Named Desire" at the Mateer Playhouse and "Love Rides the Rails" at the Boal Barn Play house. The Mateer Playhouse produc tion of "A Streetcar Named De sire," Tennessee Pul itzer Prize-winning play, is sched uled for a two-week run starting on Monday, July 11, The play is directed by Max Fischer and will star Esther Ben son in her only appearance of the season. Also featured in leading roles will be David Frank, Patri cia Thompson and Ronald Bishop. Esther Benson will play the part of a tortured and tormented woman Blanche Dußois who comes to live with her animal like brother-in-law at his home in the French Quarter of New Orleans. David Frank will play the brother-in-law Stanley Ko walski. Patricia Thompson will play Kowalski's understanding wife, and Ronald Bishop, a family friend.
