WEDNESDAY, JULY 6. 1960 The Gazebo, Hasty Heart Wind Up Three final performances of "The Hasty Heart" will bei given Thursday, Friday andl Saturday at the Boal Barn 1 Playhouse. "The Gazebo," comedy-mystery by Alec Copped is now running at the Mateer: Playhouse. "The Gazebo" tells the story of : a harassed television mystery writer and is featuring Ronald Bishop and Patricia Thompson in; the leading roles. The play is being: directed by Max Fischer. The Mateer Playhouse at Stand-: ing Stone is now selling special student tickets for its summer' productions. • The tickets, which cost $6, areJ good for admission to the remain-' ing four plays on Monday or Tues-I day nights. The tickets will also be good for tonight's performance. They can be used for any seat in the house providing reservations are made in advance. Tickets may he purchased at. the theatre arts office in Schwab : or at the Playhouse box office. The Mateer Playhouse is owned : and operated by the Department of Theatre. Arts and is augmented by six equity actors. The plot of "The Hasty Heart" at Boal Barn Playhouse revolves around a bitter young Scot, whose low opinion of his fel low men changes a number of times throughout the play. The changes in the Scot's attitude are due fo sincere overtures of friendship made by men in his ward at a military hospital. Comedy is interjected when: Lochie, played by Jon Barry er, ridicules the homelands of his; ward mates calling, for example,! America the land of the mickeyi "moose."
