Cantello has heaved the 1 1 / 2 -pound
spear 281-2 feet, a world record.
Schwab's best effort was 223-11 1 / 2

Fillman and Bobby Brown
will hook up in a rematch of
their Quantico Relays 100 meter
sprint dual earlier this year. In
' that race Fillman beat Brown
out of the blocks and the big
Penn Stater never caught up.
Fillman finished in 10.6 and
Brown in 10.7.
Lion fans will get their first
look this year at Dick Campbell,
who set a new Penn State record
in the high jump by clearing 6-6
at Navy, Campbell has hopes of
going even higher, and he might
have to beat Quantico's Bob
Gardner. Gardner, who did his
collegiate jumping for Ohio State,
has done 6-9 plus.

Pastrano Hopes to Start
Ring Comeback Tonight
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (iP) Willie
Pastrano is coming back to the
heavyweight ranks tonight hoping
to even matters with Alonzo
Johnson.
Pastrano. who fights out of
New Orleans, dropped a close
decision to Johnson v.hen they
met here last July. Afterwards,
Johnson, from Braddock, Pa ,
dropped three bouts in a row and
fell from the top 10 list of heavy
weight.

The independent teams will

PhiHy Owner Says Wilt
May Return Next Year
PHILADELPHIA (JP) There
is a 50-50 chance that Wilt Cham
berlain will return to the Phila
delphia Warriors of the National
Basketball Assn. next season,
Warriors' owner Eddie Gottlieb
said yesterday.
Gottlieb told a luncheon group,
"Wilt may or may not be back
with us. But right now I would
say chances are 50-50 he'll be
back. In fact, the odds Might be
more in our favor than ever."
Gottlieb leaves for Europe late
this month to supervise a tour of
the Harlem Globetrotters. Under
terms of a contract signed with
the Trotters, Chamberlain will
join the troupe the first week
,in June.

Bob Gross of Phi Epsilon won
the 1111 fraternity badminton
championship last night with an
easy 15-0, 15-2 victory over fra
ternity brother Dave Burstin.
Going into the 1960 season,
Penn State's all-time golf record
was 179 victories, 62 defeats, and
six ties.
