Alum to Visit USSR
In 'My Fair Lady'
Harold L. Woolever, a 1951 alumnus, will be traveling to
the USSR with the Broadway company of "My Fair Lady” on
April 13.
Woolever is assistant dance captain of the show’s chorus
and assists in auditioning new dancers.

The Judicial Board of WSGA
will not become and inactive body
when the new women’s rules go
into effect at 8 a m. Mdnday, ac
cording to Dean Dorothy J. Lipp.
The Judicial Board which has
handled all except the most seri
ous violations of women's rules
in the past, will continue to con
sider infractions and hand down
penalties, she said
The violations handled, how
evci, will be of the moie serious
variety. With blockmarks out o r
the picture and lateness violations
handled automatically, the Board
will have lime to give personal
attention to habitual late hours
violatois and senous offenders,
Dean Lapp said
The Board will try to give pen
alties suited to the individual of
fender and violation, Dean Lipp
said. The Judicial Board also plans
to refer habitual offenders to the
Division of Counseling for further
help in overcoming theii problem,
History Prof Aids Team
In Evaluation Project
Dr. Kent Forster, professor of
Em opean history, is serving this
week as a member of the Middle
States Association of Colleges
and Secondary Schools’ team
visiting and assisting in the evalu
ation of Barnard College of Co
lumbia University.
_ This activity is under the direc
tion of the Middle States Associa
tion’s Commission on Institutions
of Higher Learning.
The company will tour in Rus
sia for 10 weeks, playing in Len
ingrad, Moscow, Kiev, Odessa and
other cities.
The tour is part of the Cultural
Exchange Program and the $500,-
000 cost for the production will be
shared by both the United States
and Russia.
As a result of this, members of
the company will receive half
their pay in American dollars and
half in rubles.

Fair Lady."
Besides appearing in the show,
Woolever is teaching modern jazz
at the International School of the
Dance in Carnegie Hall.
According to Woolever, every
one in the show is trying to learn
Russian “overnight.” “You can
hear more Russian than English
backstage,” he said.
It was onginally planned to
have a road group give the per
formance, but the Russians want
ed the Broadway company.
Seven jet planes will transport
the company to Russia. They will
return on June 15 to open on
Broadway.
Taubeneck to Explore

iting research associate, is explor
ing the origin of granitic rocks in
a study supported by National Sci
ence Foundation grants.
Dr. Taubeneck, who is associate
professor of geology at Oregon
State College, is on two years’
leave of absence to work in the
department of mineralogy of the
College of Mineral Industries at
'Penn State.

First Aid Course
To Begin Monday
An advanced first aid course,
offered by the State College Red
Cross chapter, will begin at 7
p.m. Monday in the Red Cross
rooms of the Associated Services
Building at 330 W. Beaver Ave.
The course, which will be taught
by Mrs. Adelaide Deibler, author
ized Red Cross instructor, is open
to all persons over 16 who have
completed the course in standard
first aid. No fee is charged for the
course.
A film made by the medical
research division of the armed
forces on the breathing techniques
in the mouth-to-mouth method of
artificial respiration will be used
in teaching the resuscitation tech
niques.
