CLOSET SPACE is at a premium in the Nittany Residence halls. Crowded
in the open closets are about half of the belongings of two students . . .
.. THE OTHER HALF of their belongings hang on a pipe and drape in
front of the windows and over part of the dresser. The pipe is one of the
Infamous noisy heat pipes.
THE DOUBLE DECK bunk beds may scare the "uninitiated", but these men are used to the
6 to 8 inch sag in the top beds. This is not a tri ck of perspective, but was taken level with the bed.

N ittany Men Protest
Many complaints are voiced by the men who live in the Nittany
Residence Hall Area. They are not just cronic complainers as you can
see in this set of pictures. Crowded closets, inadequate privacy, uncomfort
able beds and general poor• living conditions prevail.
The University, after many years, is now starting to take notice of
the complaints and finally has announced plans to make improvements.
