If the players did have any opinion on the Liberty Bowl, they were keeping it to them selves and continued to concen trate on Saturday's Pitt game. The Daily Collegian Pros (for probation), in view of their 26-0 rout of the Pitt News Hawks last Thanksgiving Day, have received a bid to the second annual ''BLOOD BOWL," slated to be played Saturday morning before the Pitt-Penn State game in the Smoky City. The "BLOOD BOWL," the new est and most colossal of all news men's post-season extravaganzas, had its inception last year amid pagentry and spectacle at Ells worth Stadium. The Collegian pigskinners made their debut a memorable one by running rough shod over a badly outclassed Pitt News club As a result of its resounding victory the Pros were unani mously rated as the number one newsmen's team in the nation by the Dissociated Press. ' Murray Chass, Pittsburgh pro-. moter for the Bowl and spokes-{ man for the host Pitt News Club, is trying to book the game in Forbes Field, which seats 37,000. He foresees only one problem. "I don't know what we'll do with the overflow crowd. I've been in vestigating the possibilities of televising the battle nationally." But while the Pittsburgh agencies are experiencing their promotion problems. spirit is riding high in the Collegian office. One would think it was Syracuse week all over again.
