THE HOUSE THAT JAll BUILT
will be open all this weekend for your enjoyment and the Jazz
Club has booked what we think is the finest group to be pre•
sented in our Workshop Series to date.
The MONARDO - VIVONA QUINTET, originally working
out of Rochester, New York, returns to campus after gaining
recognition here last year. The group is fronted by the two leader
trombone men who wail in the style of the J. and Kai group of
a few years ago. Backed by a solid rhythm section the quintet
has had much success in the East having been acclaimed to be
one of the outstanding young groups in modern jazz today.
The club is very encouraged by the support given to the
Workshop Series. In the future, starting with the weekend we
are bringing some of the finest jazz groups in the country to you.
Continued SUPPORT is of course necessary to maintain this
standard.
There will be a JAZZ CLUB MEETING Friday
night at La Galleria starting at 7:00 for all those
interested in the club.
Music will be provided by the JW Quartet.
