By DEX HUTCHINS Second of a Series say objectivel:f whether or not the program is a success or fail ure," Wilmer Wise, assistant to the dean of men for fraternity af fairs, said. According to Wise, the mem hers of the IFC who drew up i the plan did not give as much ;consideration to the mechanisms of measuring the success or fail ure of the program as they might ;have. Gary Gentzler, IFC president, said that many people have not taken info consideration the viewpoint of the rushees who have been directly affected by the plan. "I think that by considering the rushees as well as fraternity viewpoints on de ferred rushing we will be able to cover areas which the pro gram does not cover now," he said. Gilbert Sergeant, IFC secre tai y-treasurer, agrees that a more liberal open house policy, should be pat into the plan. Sergeant said that this could be done with but changing the basic system. The fraternity exchange ar rangement with the University's Department of Housing is another area of rushing which might be improved, Ronald Resh, IFC vice president, said. Under the present plan, men with housing contracts wh o pledge a fraternity at the begin ning of the school year and decide to live in the fraternity house, must find an acceptable replace ment to take their place in the ! dormitory by Dec. 25. Resh said that if upperclassmen !could be released from their hous ing contracts when they pledge, ithe rushing system would un doubtedly be strengthened.
