While in Winnipeg, Osborne will participate in the dedication of the new School of Architecture Building at the University. Osborne was director of the School of Architecture there for 17 years prior to his appoint ment to the University faculty. He assisted in the preliminary planning for the new building to be dedicated. While there, he was one of the original members of the Metro politan Planning Commission of Winnipeg, and-in 1955 was made an honorary life member of the Manitoba Association of Archi tects. He is also the first Ameri can to be admitted to Fellowship in the Royal Architectural Insti tute of Canada.
