Lessons will be offered from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoons in the HUB cardroom Grads Offered Summer Grants Former teaching assistants may now apply at the Graduate School Office for 1960 summer fellow ships to be awarded by the Na tional Science Foundation. The deadline for applications is Dec. 11. Students must have had not less than one academic year of teaching experience (at least eight hours per week) at the Uni versity to be eligible. The teaching experience is con sidered as teaching, laboratory instruction, grading of papers. and other duties related to teach ing responsibilities for which the student is paid regularly by the University. The summer fellowships may be' held for 8 to 12 weeks and the) recipient will receive a stipend) of $5O to $75 per week while th , l Foundation pays his tuition. Steidle Invited to Assist Brazilian Government Edward Steidle, dean emeritus of the College of Mineral Indus tries, has been invited by the Brazilian government to assist in the proposed reorganization and orientation of its National School of Mines at Ouro Perto. Steidle said the assignment will take him to Brazil two or three times during the coming year. Dean Schilling Attends Graduate Conference Dr. Harold K.
