Sub-freeing temperatures
had little effect on IM football
action last evening as every
game but two saw scoring.
Theta Delta Chi's Bob Knepp

ning. He threw to Dave Bonello
for three touchdowns and hit
Jim Hockenbrock for a fourth
while leading his team to a 27-0
conquest of Pi Sigma Upsilon.
In other fraternity contests,
Rich Sacane passed to Butch Bur
dette and Read Roberts for scores
as Pi Kappa Phi downed Tri
angle, 13-7.
Alpha Phi Delta won a hard
fought battle with Omega Psi
Phi, Lou Spagnoletti set up the
lone 6-pointer with a long heave
to Bob Zamboni, who snatched
the pigskin from two defend
ers on the two-yard line. Spag
noletti then hit Fran Gatto for
the tally.
In one of the games which
failed to produce a scoring play,
Lambda Chi Alpha edged Beta
Sigma Rho on first downs. The
game ended in a tie and after
a short break, the two teams.play-

The kicking and passing of
Dick Fisher carried Nittany 42 to
a close 10-7 decision over Nit
tany 32. Fisher, after missing a
50-yard field goal, tried again,
and this time converted a 35-
'yarder. He threw a long pass to
Bob Burket which set- up Butch
Cross's three-yard scoring sweep
around end. Fisher then added
the extra point. His consistent
punting kept Nittany 32 in check
most of the game.
Nittany 33 defeated Nittany
39, 14-0, as Carl DeCaspers
intercepted an enemy aerial
and galloped 15 yards for the
score. Bernie Buhl tossed to
Tom Boario in the closing sec
onds for a good-measure touch
down, Lou Beam kicked both
PAT's.
Nittany 22 combined an inter
cepted pass and a miscue by their
opponents, Nittany 21, for a 9-0
victory, Dwight Stern ran 30
yards with the interception for a
TD. A Nittany 21 center sailed
out of the end zone for an auto
matic safety for Nittany 22.
