OCTOBER 17, 1959 Service to For Alumni A special Protestant Service of Worship, primarily for University alumni and their families will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Helen Eakin Eisenhower Chapel. The Rev. Samuel Gibson, executive director of the Unid versity Christian Association, will be the leader of worship and the preacher. His sermon topic is "Self-Discovery an d Home-coming." He wil be as sisted by Dr. Gordon Pritham, professor of physiological chem istry, and a member of the Unit ed Christian Association board of directors. The Meditation Chapel Choir, under the direction of James Beach, will 'provide music for the service. The organist will be Nancy Hadfield. At the regular Protestant Serv-1 ice of Worship at 9 a.m. tomor-I I row in the chapel, Gibson will also be leader of worship and! preacher. He will be assisted by Lee Vanßremen, the student president of the Student Chris tian Association. The Meditation Chapel choir i will sing the choral anthem, "All from the Sun's Uprise" by Tom-1 for the Newman Club's , first Communion breakfast will' be sold after all masses tomor row. The breakfast will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 25 at the State Gollege Hotel. Masses for Roman Catholics will be said at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 4;30 p.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Vic tory Church and at 9 a.m. in Schwab Auditorium. The Wesley Foundation will at-I tend the Sanctuary Service at? St. Paul's Church at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m., with a Wesley morn ing worship at 9:15 a.m. The Wes ley Discussion Seminar will be at 9;45 a.m.; and the Fireside Forum, "Work ( Project in Etho pia" at 6:30 p.m. Seniors of the Lutheran Stu 'dent Association will sponsor the Senior Class Supper at 5:30 p.m. . tomorrow at the student center. lAt 6:30 p.m., the Bryan Green Lecture tape recordings will be played and narrated by Samuel Gibson. Shinn Will Speak At Schwab "The Limits of Know-How"I will be the topic of the sermon of Dr. Roger L. Shinn, profes sor of Christian Ethics at Union Theological Seminary, at the University Chapel serv ice of worship at 10:55 a.m. tomor row in Schwab Auditorium. George E. Ceiga, University or ganist, will play "Psalm Preltyde (psalm 139, verse 11)" by Howells. He will also play "Chorale Prelude en St. Peter" by Darke as -the of fertory; and "Fuge in G Minor" by Bach as the postlude. The University Chapel Choir, under the direction of Willa Taylor, will sing "If Thou But Suffer God to Guide Thee" by Gerog Neumark as the choral introit, and a setting of "Psalm 9.5" by Jean Berger as the an them. Shinn received his bachelor of arts degrees from Heidelberg gol kge and his bachelor of divinity degree from Union TheologiCal Seminary. He received his doctor, of philosophy degree from Colum- bia University. Shinn was an instructor in phil osophy and theology at Union Theological Seminary from 1947- 49. In 1949 he became chairman of the Department of Philosophy at Heidelberg College. He later served as professor of theology at Vanderbilt University Divinity School until returning to Union in his present capacity this year. 'Book' Actor Suffers Injury Samuel Parsons, senior in arts and letters from Allentown and a member of the Thespians' pro duction "TVs in the Book," was admitted to the University dis pensary yesterday and held over night for observation. According to Theodore Paulo ski, president of Thespians, -Par sons was injured in an auto mobile accident and suffered a cut tongue and facial injuries. Pauloski said the Parsons' two' roles in the Thespians' production will be filled by James Currie, senior in labor-management rela tions from . Pottsville; and Rich ard Mazza, senior in the arts from Drexel Hill. Currie will'play the lawyer in "The Goldilocks Caper," and Maz za will portray Friar Tuck in "Robin, The Hood."
