SUMMER COLLEGIAN, STATE COLLEGE, PENNSYLVANIA
Steelworkers--
(Continued from page one)
program offered to the second
year members is the best course
offered and leaches a person to
conduct himself properly in
front of a group. The profes
sors make you speak and point
out mistakes, he said.
Most of the steelworkers agreed!
that the effective speech course,
offered the most for them, since'
they have to conduct meetings
and appear before the members
of the union.
One of the pioneers of the in
stitute, James Hahn of Dravos
burg, said he was "amazed at
the improvement in the classes
over the past 14 years." "The in
stitute has now reached the point
where the members are not here
to be educated by instructors, but
to learn to educate themselves."

Where are your tax dollars going?
A good many of them are going for federal
"public power."
$5,500,000,000 in tax money has already
been spent for "public power" electricity
projects in certain areas of the U. S.—and
the "public power" pressure groups want
$10,000,000,000 more.
Yet this spending of your tax money
is completely unnecessary. Independent elec
tric companies like yours are ready and able
to provide all the electricity the nation needs
... without depending on your tax money.
Don't you think this needless spending
for federal "public power" should stop?
