From there on in the Lions' plight was hopeless as the Scar let scored eight more goals in the second half while the Baermen could only muster two. The fleet foursome shaved al most 12 seconds from the former mark of 7-39.6 set last year by Engelbrink, Schwab, Fred Kerr and Ed Moran. Breakdown of the times showed 1:55 4 for Davies, 1:52 for Schwab, 1 . 50 for Engel brink, and 1:50 5 for King. In the mile run, Laszlo Tabori set the pace from the gate with Mot an tight behind None of the runners wanted to take the lead and the pace was slow from the start.
