Braun to Give
Chapel Sermon
"Incendiary Sunday" will be the title of the Pentecostal ,
sermon delivered by the Rev. Theodore Braun at the Prates

The Chapel Choir, directed by
Will Taylor, will sine the Pente

Spirit, by Whose Aid" by Tails.
The anthem will be "0 Come,
Let Us Sing Unto the Lord" by
Berger.

Sittler received his bachelor of
arts degree from Wittenberg Col
lege and his bachelor of divinity
from Hamma Divinity School. He
holds the doctor of divinity de
gree from Wagner College and
the doctor of laws degree from
Wittenben: College He has dore
graduate study at Oberlin. West
ern Reserve, the University of
Chicago and the University of
Heidelberg in Germany.
Sittler is the author of two
hooks "The Doctrine of the Word"
and "The Structure of Christiar
Ethics."
SDX to initiate
New Members
Initiation of new members into
Sigma Delta Chi, men's profes
sional journalism fraternity, will
take place at 11 a.m. tomorrow,
following a brunch sponsored by
the Penn syl vania Newspaper
Publishers' Association.

at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow. A Senior

Hall. The donation is $1.50. Mat
ins are set for 6:45 a.m. Wednes
day.
The B'nai Writh Hillel Founda
tion will sponsor a Lox and Bagel
Brunch from 11 a.m. to noon to
morrow. Members of Sigma Del
ta Tau sorority will act as hos
tesses. Admit;sitm for members is
35 cents and for guests 65 cents.
A Sabbath Eve service will be
held at 8 p.m. next Friday.

The Interfraternity Council
will meet at 7 30 p.m. Monday in

to discuss the 1959-60 budget.

Nutter to Be
Chairman of
Career Day
Wade Nutter, junior in forestry
from Wexford, has been appoint
led chairman of the 1960 All-Uni
yersity Career Day.
The Into r - College Council
Board, which sponsored Career
Day in April, will sponsor it
again next year. Jack Kendall,
present chairman, said at an IC
CB meeting Thursday that a bud
get of $l5OO had been set for
Career Day, but that he doubted
if the full amount would be al
lotted.
The exposition cost $B5O this
year, he said. Placement Service
donated $l5O and the Alumni As
sociation $5OO. ICCB agreed to
return $5O of the Alumni Asso
ciation's donation.
Student council presidents re
ported favorable reactions from
their council members on the pro
posed grade point system. Fac
ulty response was lukewarm,
some of the presidents reported.
The proposed system would al
low for grades to descend in de
grees of .1, rather than in whole
numbers as they do now.
ICCB also planned a reception
for new faculty members on
September 15. A tour of the cam
pus will precede the reception.
Ag Society to Sponsor
Tractor Driving 'Contest
The- student branch of the
American Society of Agricultural
Engineers will hold a tractor driv
ing contest at 1 p.m. today at the
Forestry Building parking lot.
A registration fee of 50 cents
may be paid at the Hetzel Union
desk or at the contest.

Choirs to Hold
Annual Concert
The second annual spring con
cert of the combined Meditation'
Chapel Choirs will be held at 8
p.m. tomorrow in the Helen Eakin
Eisenhower Chapel.
James W. Beach, assistant direc
tor of the Chapel Choirs, will con
duct the concert. The program
includes works by Palestrina,
Bach, Hilton, Mozart, Beethoven
and Haydn.'
Appearing as soloists with the
choir will be Gale Leister, sopho
more in music education from
State College; Eugene Wapner,
junior in counseling from Holli
daysburg; and Paul Wenhold, sen
ior in music education from Tru
bauersville.
Organ selections will be played
by Nancy J. Hadfield, junior in,
education from Downingtown;
Mary C. Herold, junior in educa
tion from Lancaster; and William
Mastrocola, freshman in education
from Clifton Heights.
The five Meditation Chapel
Choirs have provided music for
the various weekday and-Sunday
worship services in the Helen Eak
' in Eisenhower Chapel throughout
the year.
A reception for choir members
and concert guests will be held
in the Memorial Lounge of the
chapel following the program.

Borough Puts Meters
In 2 Parking Lots
State College opened tw o
metered parking lots yesterday,
one on W. Beaver Ave. just off
S. Allen St. and one on S. Fra
zier St. next to the Centre Daily
Times' building.
It is now mandatory to pay for
parking time on meters until IG
p.m.—both in the lots and on the
streets. The old limit was 6 p.m.
The meters on the lots have
a time maximum of 12 hours and
can be paid with any combination
of nickles, dimes and quarters on
the basis of a nickle for one half
hour of parking time.
No policy has as yet been
adopted by the State College
Parking Authority concerning all
night parking.
Acacia's 50th Year
The University chapter of Aca
cia fraternity will celebrate its
50th anniversary Saturday.
Acacia will hold an open house
from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. The Uni
versity chapter was founded
June 9, 1909, by 24 Master Ma
sons.
