Robin Brooks, president of the, class, asked board members for, suggestions of ways to collect they pledges at registration. Under the plan put foi th by All-University Cabinet each person would payl 50 cents each time they registered. Miss Brooks said this year's' freshmen would have to pay an' extra dollar at the next registra tion to make up for the year of : payments missed. Bell. Larry Epstein, a sopohomore in business administration from' Philadelphia, paid $11.50 in costs and $5.70 in restitution resulting from having unauthorized tele-. phone equipment in his room and connecting it to a phone. Epstein was placed on office probation until the end of the semester by the dean of men's office by Dean Frank J. Simes. Be 11 Telephone authorities found a headpiece and dialing, equipment in Epstein's room in a downtown apartment. Epstein claimed he obtained the equip ment from a telephone repairman several years ago. Last semester five students were fined and paid costs to the Bell Telephone Co. for tampering with telephones in the West Halls residence area. Also included in the plans for out door recreation are three tennis courts, a softball pitching area, four handball courts and a gen eral play area. And for rainy days and cold weather the students living in the area will be able to move in doors to any one of five recrea tion rooms. Each hall will have. a combination lounge—recreation room in the basement along with trunk storage areas, a janitor's', shop and the councelors' rooms. The dining rooms for the four hails will be in Warnock Hall. In 'addition to the two dining halls, which will be on the second floor of the building, there will be a lounge, the area post office, a (snack lounge, a meeting room, and a recreation room in the building. Warnock Hall stands at the corner of Shortlidge Rd. and the corner of Shortlidge Road and East Park Avenue. 1 Rundle Hall, which is at pre sent nearest completion, will 'stand between Warnock Hall and ,the Agri c u 1 tural Engineering building. The other three halls—Beam, ;Holmes, and Leete—stand along East Park Avenue, from Short lidge Road to the edge of Hort Woods. Each hall is divided into two ',sections, called A. wing and B wing, such as Beam Hall A and ( Beam Hall B. A parking lot for the area will 'built parallel with East Park Avenue at the rear of the tennis courts and play area.
