specialist in cancer research was
summoned yesterday to consult on
Secretary of State John Foster
Dulles’ illness. At the capitol sen
ators joined in silent prayer for
his recovery.
The stricken Dulles, suffering
from a recurrence of the cancer
for which he»was operated on in
November 1956, which was discov
ered during a hernia operation
Friday, sat in a chair in his quar
ters at the Army’s Walter Reed
Hospital for about 30 minutes.
