No area had bee i provided for
a snack bar wher Redifer Hall
was constructed, so a small stor
age room has been converted to
fill the needs of dormitory resi
dents. Work has jeen going on
for several months, since the room
had to be painted, Jwired for elec
tricity *and plumbing provided for
a sink to wash out the machines.
Asphalt tiles were laid to form a
large PSU on the floor. j
Two sets of wrought-iron tables
and chairs, similar to the deck
furniture used on terraces around
the dormitories, have been pro
vided for the women’s use. The
Department of Housing intends
to put additional furniture in the
alcove outside the snack room if
the place becomes popular with
coeds.
There is an added possibility
that regulations can be adjusted
so that the doors leading to Redi
fer can be left open, allowing the
women to use the vendors be
tween 10 and 11 p.m.
