Pi Kappa Phi forged right along
in its domination of fraternity
bowling league “A” by chalking
up a 4-0 victory against Theta
Kappa Phi in its first game of this
semester’s pin action.
Pi Kappa Phi had previously
won the league “A” title last se
mester with a 40-3 won-lost rec
ord.
Phi Delta Theta rolled to a tie
with Sigma Alpha Epsilon but
managed to pick up the individual
laurels on the way. John Blanck
copped the high single with a 211
and the high series with 558. Phi
Delta Theta also grabbed the
high game with 734.
Fred Taylor rolled the high sin
gle of the night with a 221 in
leading Delta Tau Delta to a 4-0
win over Phi Kappa Psi.
Phi Kappa chalked up the high
game of 789 for the night by
whitewashing Alpha Rho Chi 4-0.
Don Block with a 199 single and
Marv Block with a 500 series
aided Alpha Epsilon Pi in its 3-1
victory over [Phi Epsilon Pi.
Theta Chi arid Phi Mu Delta tied.

Tumbling, the first event,
presents only a minor problem.

ly, the NCAA program allowed a

Howard Grubbs of the South
west Conference, elected chair
man of the 1959 TV committee,
said the NCAA membership must
approve the plan in a mail refer
endum. Approval requires a two
thirds majority of those voting.
