A WAY TO house hundreds of freshmen in an ever-expanding
student body—North Halls.
Men's Dormitories
Nearing Completion
The furnishings in Runkle and Leete Hall, divisions of
the North Halls Residence Hall project, are nearing com-
pletion
The only thing preventing rooms in Holmes and Beam
Hall from being furnished and painted soon is the completion
of the heating system in these'
units, according to the superin
tendent of the building project.
The interior masonry is almost
done m Holmes and Beam. ConH
tractors are now starting to lather .
and plaster in these dorms.
The superintendent said, "We
are moving along according to
schedule and should be done by
the July date, if no hitches de
velop."
He also said that if Holmes and
Beam arc enclosed and the heat
ing system connected and in
stalled, his men will be able to
work throughout the winter.
After the convectors for the
heating system are put in the
rooms, it takes about three weeks
for the system to be connected.
At present workmen are install
ing the heating system in Holmes
Hall. When this is completed, they
will furnish the rooms in Holmes
and go on to work on the heating
system in Beam.
There is no heating in the War
nock Dining Hall yet, although
there is some heat from the heat
bng pipes that run through the
uilding. The heat in all the build
ings, originates from the power
plant.
The furnishings in the rooms in
clude bookcases, desks, storage
lockers, bulletin boards, dressers
and closets.
Each L-shaped building is four
stories high. Runkle and Warnock
Hall are located along Shortlidge
Road, while the other buildings
are on Park Avenue.

Bruce's Battle--
(Continued from page seven)
State scene—Larry Fegley.
Fegley had never played soc
cer before, and Bruce helped him'
learn the finer points of the
game. Jerry started the first six ,
games this year, turning in a
shutout against Syracuse. But in
the Navy game he hurt his finger, l
and Fegley replaced him. Appar-1
ently Bruce was too good a teach -I
er because Fegley hasn't been reH
,placed there yet.
Tomorrow,Bruce ends his soc
cer career at Penn State when'
the Lions play Pitt at Pittsburgh
He hasn't had a spectacular ca- i
reer here during his four years,
but any sports fan has to admire
and respect Bruce because het
didn't give up when the odds'
were against him.
