PAGE EIGHT Students Outdoor Students may enter a variety of “pots, prints and paint ings in a new “Clothesline Art Exhibit” to be held next Saturday in the area outside Temporary Building. The “Clothesline Exhibit” (so named because the art works will be hung on clotheslines strung outside the build- ing) is open to all graduate and undergraduate students regard less of euiricuium. It is designed to increase in terest in student art and to ex tend the opportunities for stu dents to sell their work. Until now the only chance students have had to exhibit or to sell art work have been at the Graduate Christmas Sale and the Spring Student Show. Membeis of Pi Gamma Alpha, fine arts honorary society, who are sponsoring the new exhibit, said they felt it would go a long way toward creating a larger in terest in student ait. Valerie Sigelon, president of the society, said there are now only two major opportunities for students to sell or exhibit their work. "We hope to extend this opportunity,” she said. Ceramic work, paintings (both oils and watercolors), and prints may be entered. The artists may sell their entries if they wish. All entries are due by 5 pm. Thursday at the fine arts office in Temporary Building. Paintings and prints must be matted or framed. Rain date is Oct. 26.
